Wireless Network Card Review

Review Of The Top 3 Wireless Network Cards

If you have been shopping around for wireless network cards then you will have noticed that they all seem to offer supurb results, yet they differ greatly in price. Is it really worth spending over $100 on one product if a $50 product offers to deliver the same capabilities. Well, as is the case with all internet shopping, the best way to find out exactly how well the item performs is to get the opinions of other who have already purchased it, and proffessionals how have tested it to it's lmits. In this case, we are looking for a wireless network card review.

There are so many wireless network cards around now that it would be impossible to list them all, and you would be exhausted by the end of this article. So, in this woreless network card review we will focus on a small selection of the most popular within a reasonable price range.

First of all let's look at the Netgear WG111 USB Network card. This card has been designed for use in laptops. It is incredibly cheap and in my opinion great value for money. It will only cost you around $35 and at the price, you are unlikely to find many cheaper options, and it is certainly the cheapest one I have allowed in my wireless network card review. It is perhaps, not quite suitable for the business user, but for home use it is perfect. It has been reported to have a good range and offer a reasonably fast speed for the average user. The only thing to be aware of with this product is that it is an external device which makes it prone to taking knocks and becoming breakable.

Continuing Along The laptop card line we come to the TrendNet TEW-429UB. This card was also specifically designed for use in laptops and retails for around $50. It is, (like the Netgear WG111) also an external device maing it prone to the same problems as above. It is also not as feature rich as some of the other wireless network card available, and more expensive. The reason for including it in this review is the fact that it offers a wireless hot spot locator. Wherever you are, you can click a button and scan for any available wireless internet connections. This feature alone, put's it into my wireless network card review.

Increasing in price, we look at the Belkin Pre N Wireless Notebook Network Card. Before continuing please not that this card is not suitable if you own a Alienware, or a Dell computer. This card is one of the best ones around according to consumers and proffessionals who have already purchased it. Although it is twice as pricey as the first option here at $70, it's capabilities make it worth this extra deep dig into your pocket. It's excellent speed and range properties put it in the 'well above average' catagory and because of this, at $70 it is still a baragin in my book.

This wireless network card review was deliberately shortened to offer you the best cards on the market without having to research for hours. The products above have been voted the best in their category according to price and capabilities, so you can be sure you will get what you are paying for.
